Middle School Replacement
RCI was retained as the design team civil engineer and surveyor for this $80M middle school replacement project. RCI was involved in the master planning, feasibility study, site surveying, civil design, and construction administration.
Feasibility Studies
Feasibility studies involved a detailed utility systems review for water, sanitary sewer, storm drain, and power serving the site. In addition to ensuring this project would not adversely impact an already overburdened sewage collection and treatment system, this included city and community coordination related to how the proposed development would impact the Swan Lake area. Once thoroughly vetted, RCI worked with the district and design team to prepare cost estimates and schedules for the school district’s staff to recommend to the board of trustees to move forward with this development project in a manner that ensures we are good stewards of the public funds that will be used.
Engineering Design
RCI design included new access roads and parking lots, sidewalks, building entry and plaza designs, pedestrian pick-up areas, delivery and emergency vehicle access, grading and drainage, domestic water and reclaimed water design, sanitary sewer mains and laterals, public roadway widening and restriping with traffic calming and signalized pedestrian crossing, sports field design with spectator seating, and ADA accessibility.
