District Engineer Services
As District Engineer for the Minden-Gardnerville Sanitation District (MGSD) since 1978, Resource Concepts, Inc. has been involved in numerous projects related to collection, treatment and disposal of wastewater. We have been involved in significant sewer line rehabilitation projects during this period, many of which were funded by EPA Grants.
Services Included
RCI has performed all work including initial planning, completing grant applications, design, permitting, bidding and contractor selection, surveying, construction management, and inspection and testing. RCI has been extensively involved in master planning interceptor sizes as well as designing major interceptors to serve large areas of the MGSD. We also completed all work for the planning, design, funding, and implementation of construction for MGSD’s treated effluent storage reservoirs and land application system.
Pump Station and Transmission Pipeline
Resource Concepts conducted design, bid solicitation, project management, surveying and construction inspection of a pump station and transmission pipeline for treated wastewater effluent from an existing MGSD storage basin to a privately-owned newly constructed storage basin and land application system.
Pipeline Improvements
Pump station improvements consisted of a 3,700 gpm-capacity duplex vertical turbine pump system, expandable to a 4,900 gpm triplex system, enclosed in a CMU pump building, basin outfall pipe and screening system, electrical service and radio telemetry. Pipeline improvements consisted of approximately 4,500 linear feet of 20” epoxy-lined ductile iron pipe, including related isolation valves, ditch crossings, and a 36” bored encasement crossing U.S. Hwy 395 S.
